| Ever wanted to take up a writing challenge but found the prompt tables too much or not varied enough? Maybe you don't want to do a drabble challenge, but can't seem to hit that minimum word limit either.. Well, you've come to the right place! Welcome to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif?v=92.2){kind=small} 50ficlets, the writing challenge that slots neatly between drabbles and fics. | So, what's a ficlet? A ficlet is a piece of fanfiction which is more than 100 words (a drabble) and less than 1000. It's the in-betweeny bit of fanfiction. How this works: First, join the community. Second, check out the prompt tables Third, make your claim in the claiming post Fourth, wait until you're approved and get writing! |

| Because every community has to have them: 1) No Flaming. There will be a zero tolerance on this particular rule. Flame once, you're out. 2) A claim can be a pairing (or threesome), a character, or a general fandom. These can only be claimed once for each table. So, for example, say if User1 claimed Draco/Harry for table set 1, User2 can only claim Draco/Harry if they wanted to use a different table set. Also, please see our FAQ for more on this rule. 3) You may claim more than one pairing/character/general fandom, but please be aware of your limits. Claiming 10 different things is all well and good, but will you be able to finish them? Probably not. 4) Con-crit is encouraged, but please be careful with your phrasing. You might know how you meant to say it, but its just text on a screen at the end of the day, and can be interpreted many different ways. | There are two ways you can post your ficlets: You can batch post. This basically means posting three or four ficlets in one post. If you want to do this, please follow the guideline: Use one of those for every ficlet you post.
